

A cat hits a dog on the head with a baseball bat a few times and a large bump grows on the dog’s head the cat hits the bump, the dog pounds the cat flat onto the floor, and stars swirl around the cat’s head. A cat and a mouse, chasing each other, tear up a hotel room we see the chandelier fall to the floor, feathers float in the air and other items are strewn around the room. A man screams when a mouse runs across his foot. A cat swipes at a man and scratches his hand (we do not see blood).

A cat is smashed under a garage door a couple of times. A cat walks across electric cables between buildings, and falls several times, once after being electrocuted (the cat glows with a flash) and we see it unharmed later and a mouse cuts the cables causing the cat to be shocked and fall to the ground the cat soars into the air with makeshift wings and speeds back down where his paws are smashed in a window by the mouse. – A cat grabs its own tail and spins around breaking a keyboard, the cat grabs a mouse, the mouse punches the cat and they run through a picnic table in a park spilling food they run across a bridge and people scream and dodge them until the cat crashes into a woman riding a bike, the biker falls to the ground and spills what she was carrying (there are no injuries), the cat runs away and is struck by a bus (we see it unharmed later). Also with Michael Peña, Jordan Bolger, Rob Delaney, Patsy Ferran, Pallavi Sharda and Colin Jost. At the same time, a young woman (Chloë Grace Moretz) cons her way into a position at the hotel, preparations are made for an over the top celebrity wedding, and total bedlam is soon unleashed, leaving the hotel in shambles. In this live-action/animated hybrid, Tom and Jerry meet for the first time and start fighting each other immediately as they try to sneak into a fancy NY hotel. Why is “Tom and Jerry” rated PG? The MPAA rating has been assigned for “cartoon violence, rude humor and brief language.” The evaluation includes a kiss, and some flirting between animals, many scenes of destruction with animated characters chasing each other and using objects to try to hurt each other causing a lot of property damage but no lasting physical injuries, and some name-calling and mild language.
